Careboard’s positive impact on hospital efficiency
Opal Solutions, a New Leuven-based start-up specialising in nurse activity management, has developed a new platform to help hospitals manage the influx of Covid-19 patients.
The system makes it possible to monitor the progress of cases in real time and adapt the provision of equipment. It provides an overview of the situation and facilitates communication between teams.
The Saint-Luc hospital in Bouge is already using the platform, and other French- and Dutch-speaking hospitals are in discussion with Opal Solutions. The company is offering its service free of charge for the time being and will consider a financing model at a later date.
